Management at AECOM

My immediate supervisor is a lovely person but not very hands on. Lacks guidance and is often away on overseas projects. Not so many people to guide you in technical aspects. But you can always reach out to other teams. There is always someone willing to help.

In my experience, nearly all of the Canberra team is amazing and are good mentors. Praise and recognition is difficult to come by for a graduate.

Great managers who are great people. Approachable, experts at what they do, and want to see you succeed.

They are lovely people, easy to approach and talk to and put your well being first. Obviously busy, but willing to fit you in for a chat if you ask.

My manager is easy to work with and talk to though it can be hard to reach him sometimes.

They are good and act professionally. We have a monthly catch-up to discuss wellbeing, technical growth and work opportunities.

Could be more engaged

Some of our lower managers are very approachable and good communicators and give praise when needed. Some higher managers are also very busy and hard to get a hold of or not as approachable.

Managers are very accessible, internal communication, feedback and opportunities to spend dedicated time are always available.

Strong communication of company goals and performance.

My manager is very good, he keeps up to date with me and asks how I am, sets up fortnightly meetings and yeah I'm happy with my manager. We get along too in my opinion.

Managers were all very accessible and they make time to teach you and answer your questions despite their usually busy schedule

Project managers are good, my direct team lead is good and everyone looks out for my interests however sometimes these interets clash. Beyond that it is pretty poor and other senior mangers do not talk to grads

Team leaders seem great and invested, above that everything is cost driven and there is a lack of recognition and connectivity.

My manager respects my work and always looks after how I can develop as a flood modeller. We have a mentoring program to connect mentors in our office. He is gentle and easy to communicate anytime I want.

Good mentors and helpful. Could be more transparent with how certain processes work or what is going on behind the scenes so workers are not so confused if they have not heard back from things they have requested they would like to do or work on.

My direct line manager is very approachable and is a good mentor. She replies quickly, is very patient and always willing to help me whenever I experience any issues or want to learn more. She is supportive of my career goals. Similarly, my team leader is also very supportive and approachable. He is supportive of my career goals and tries to allocate me work that aligns with my career goals.

Managers are easily approachable and make time for you regardless of how busy they are. They would make good mentors if there was more work that you do directly under or with them. None of my work is done with my manager so they is little communication in what can help my project performance. Performance feedback will thus be limited to the P&R process and formal feedback provided only based on what I have told him rather than what he has seen.

Very accessible and easy to get along with.
