This internship is aimed at practicing lawyers and law students who are interested in international dispute resolution and, in particular, international arbitration.
In previous years, the Foundation has sent interns HKIAC's office in Hong Kong where they will assist with the Secretariat in discharging its day-to-day duties. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's internship with HKIAC will be held entirely virtually through remote working. If you are a tertiary student who is positive, confident, and interested in dispute resolution in Asia, we encourage you to apply.

About the internship
Law students and young legal practitioners with an eagerness to learn, an excellent work ethic will be given a specific project or meaningful work relevant to their area of study and a mentor and supervisor will be assigned to monitor the intern's professional development.
Chinese language ability is an advantage but is not required as English is widely used in Hong Kong.

Management of the programme
The Asia New Zealand Foundation and HKIAC will jointly deliver pastoral care and support professional development in cultural competency.
Terms and conditions
The successful applicant will be required to agree to the standard Terms and Conditions for Asia New Zealand Foundation funding recipients.
Reporting requirements
Interns are expected to write a 600-word article (with accompanying photos) on their internship that will appear on the Foundation's website (to be submitted during the internship) and write a final three-page report evaluating the internship experience at the end of the programme.
