The BlackRock Story

As a global investment manager and a leading provider of financial technology, our clients—from grandparents, doctors, and teachers to large institutions—turn to us for the solutions they need when planning for their most important goals. We are building a culture of innovation, curiosity, and compassion, one that enables every employee to make an impact.

BlackRock was founded in 1988 by eight entrepreneurs who wanted to start a very different company: One that combined the best of a financial leader and a technology pioneer. Our mission is to create a better financial future for our clients and we are looking for future leaders to help us do that.

At BlackRock, we challenge ourselves - and each other - to collectively raise our game. Diversity strengthens us; our best solutions come from the contributions of a group of talented and smart people, each playing a unique and critical role.

We recognize that talent comes in many forms and we value diverse perspectives. So, whatever your background, whatever you're studying, there's a place for you here.

Remuneration & Career prospects

The Analyst Program is a multi-year experiential journey designed to empower and support Analysts in connecting their personal passions and strengths to BlackRock's mission, principles and purpose. The program begins with an orientation to learn about our purpose, business and strategic priorities – all while gaining insights into the day-to-day life of an Analyst at BlackRock. Our Sydney program consists of 4 x 6-month rotations to gain a comprehensive overview of all areas of our business in Australia.

Following orientation, Analysts join their business area and stay connected with colleagues across the globe through ongoing training and professional development. This program offers Analysts the chance to have a lasting impact on the firm and contribute to our greater collective purpose to help more and more people experience financial well-being.

Throughout the program, Analysts will have an opportunity to do meaningful work with diverse colleagues across the globe, all with the support of a company that's committed to their well-being and invested in their success.

Additionally, we provide a breadth of benefits and programs to support your physical, financial and mental well-being. From virtual healthcare to money management support and free, confidential counselling, we continuously evaluate and update our benefits to make sure they meet our employees' needs.

We hire curious, lifelong learners and support their growth through virtual and in-person training, certificate programs, company-wide hackathons, and analyst training programs.
