I'm a software engineer so my responsibilities are managing projects, creating design docs, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing and testing the solution.

Most of my day comprises of writing code, occasionally reviewing some small pull requests (others' code), and then I spend the rest of the time in meetings (about 10 - 12 hours a week). I also spend some time working on my future goals & working out how to get there.

Processing and analysing data to aid business decisions. Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and manage expectations. Lots of projects at any time and the opportunity to get responsibility without having to be too senior. Only gripe is that team placement is mostly out of your control so you might be placed in a team that might not be in your domain of interest. However, you'll still learn a lot regardless and the skills are very transferrable to other domains.

A typical day starts off with a standup, tune in to all-hands meetings while I review pull requests. Then I get to spend about half the day doing focused work (taking breaks in between, of course)
