Culture at Meltwater Australia

9.5
9.5 rating for Culture, based on 20 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
My team has a very flat structure with 11 people reporting into 1 MD. Our culture means there's lots of fun, jokes and our mental and physical health is taken seriously. Management is kind, compassionate and understanding.

We have a flat structure in my team. Although technically we have a "boss" we do not work as a hierarchy, everyone is approachable and will make time to have a chat. There is a lot of open communication, group discussions, workshops, team activities and after work drinks that have allowed us to all become quite close.

Fun, active, social, healthy - all the good things! Friendly, team-oriented, positive, enthusiastic, supportive - the list goes on and on and on...

Meltwater has a real emphasis on culture and holds lots of events and team bonding events where all my coworkers actually want to get involved and dress up and aren't just doing it because they have to. There is a real drive within the organisation for each person to prove themselves and it is very motivating as everyone cheers on everyone's successes

Fun during work, balanced very well with hard work. Great music all day. Work hard, play hard is well illustrated here. We do out of work activities and the people I work with I would always be able to grab a beer with them outside of work hours.

People actually care about one another and have genuine friendships. You can't get that in many workforce!

The culture is a huge part of working at Meltwater, it allows you to be yourself and have a work hard, play hard attitude.

Vibrant workplace where everyone is keen to help each other, and have a drink after work.

Hierarchy and structure is a little loose with who is managing me. I.e.: managing day to day and then personal management. Teamwork is good with good communication between everyone. Team breaky is a great chance to feel valued and have a good debrief of the past week and setting a good tone for the coming week. Socialising is good here, nice to have a few team activities not centred on alcohol but overall everyone is really nice and the vibe is good

In office- Team performance and celebrating all individual wins that contribute to the team result is always present. Very accessible management team. Out of office- we like to have fun together outside of work and often will socialise over drinks and food throughout the week or on key sales milestone days (end of month etc.).

Lots of cooperation and collaboration between teams and departments in office.

Monthly office events, monthly team events, a lot of people are from elsewhere and open to having mates outside of hours. The organisational structure is really flat and you sit amongst directors and leaders in the business most days, and they set the fun culture and development culture from the top.
