The Apple Story

On April 1, 1976, Apple was founded as Apple Computer Company by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne to develop and commercialize Wozniak's Apple I desktop computer. The Apple II became a best-seller when Jobs and Wozniak established it as Apple Computer, Inc. in 1977. In 1980, Apple went public with immediate economic success. The company designed cutting-edge interfaces for computers, such as the original Macintosh, which made its debut in the renowned Ridley Scott commercial "1984". By 1985, disagreements about managerial control and the corporation's pricey products had developed. Wozniak left Apple peacefully and moved on to other endeavors, whereas Jobs bitterly left Apple and started NeXT, taking several Apple colleagues with him.

Culture & Vibe

At Apple, professionals combine their knowledge with two other crucial traits: keen attention to detail and a readiness to engage in collaborative discussion during group decision-making. Working with specialists who provide pertinent counsel and mentorship may be freeing, if not thrilling, for people in all aspects here. This style of leadership is dedicated to the kind of cooperation that generates innovation.

Teamwork at Apple involves passionate, cooperative discussion in addition to teamwork. The emphasis of teams in retail, hardware, or marketing may vary, but the fundamentals of courteous, honest dialogue stay the same: Apple promotes ideas, debates, and points of view, and ultimately draw on one another's ideas to find the best answer.

Career Prospects

For a firm this size, Apple is unusual in that it is organized by functional specialties rather than business units. In Apple, experts lead experts: software, hardware, and design specialists all lead their fields of expertise. This is different from the majority of other big businesses where general managers supervise managers. Because people with the greatest experience in a field of work have the authority to make decisions in that field.

Recruitment Process

The phone interview, the evaluation exam, and the final interview are the normal three steps in the recruitment process. Even if you do not obtain the job, just being picked for the initial interview is a major deal. The interview procedure begins with a phone interview.

Remuneration

The average annual salary of a fresh graduate at Apple Singapore is SGD 35,000.

Social Contributions

Apple is beginning with solutions based on nature to reduce inevitable carbon emissions from entering the environment. Together with Conservation International (CI) and Goldman Sachs, we established the $200 million Restore Fund to invest in sustainable climate solutions while attempting to maximize financial gain. Apple is already collaborating with CI to protect the Amazon rainforest in the Rio Nieva Reserve Zone in northern Peru, rehabilitate the damaged savannas of the Chyulu Hills in Kenya, and demonstrate novel new approaches with 109 sq. km of mangrove forest there. Through the Restore Fund, the company hopes to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by at least 1 million tons annually.

Controversies

Allegations of shady business practices against Apple include claims of anti-competitive activity, hasty litigation, questionable tax strategies, the exploitation of sweatshop labor, false warranties, inadequate data security, and environmental issues.
